Have you read Google Adwords Made Easy? If not, it's a free download:
http://www.clicknewz.com/free/easyadwords.pdf

If you arent getting enough impressions, this means one of two things. Either your keywords arent getting a lot of searches. Or your keywords are highly competitive and your bid price is set lower than that of competing advertisers.

I would add more keywords, try using more specific phrases.

I track my campaigns at the Campaign level, then Ad Group, then Keyword Level.

-Bid for specific product names
-Select Phrase matching
-Turn of Content matching for beginners
-Bid cost $0.30 to 0.50
-Starting bid can be around $1.00 just to see ad placement, then reduce from there.
-Do simple redirect to track conversions.
-Use a good tracking tool. Analytics works fine but we can't place those on the merchants site, unless they cater for it.
-Best not to go for outright direct linking in competitive niches(aka Google Cash).

To increase Adwords PPC traffic keep it simple

Postby Ricky Marshall » Thu Jun 26, 2008 12:50 pm

Simple Rules...

1. Match your ad copy text to your keywords.
2. Make your ad copy text is compelling.
3. Use a good PPC competitive intelligence or keyword tool to help you with keywords and ad copy.
4. Only test and use the top results from the keyword tools. Many keyword tools promise you millions of keywords. They don't promise you results from those keywords (buyer beware).

There's nothing that I HATE more than fixing a messy PPC campaign.

P.S. Make sure your ad copy matches landing page copy to turn the click-throughs to conversions.

Increasing traffic will not do you any good unless the traffic is converting. Track every keyword and dump the ones that do not convert.

Just really quickly. It could be your daily budget. If you daily budget is too low, in relation to what your cost/click is...this will limit your impressions.

If you CPC and budget are ok, try going into campaign settings and switching your delivery method from standard to accelerated

WOW WOW WOW man, don't focus on traffic

Focus on relevance.

It's better to have one keyword that converts maybe once a month than a keyword that gets a tonn of clicks and doesn't convert.

Keep creating tightly knit adgroups with a focus on buying keywords!
