Is this affiliate for real, or is it a scam?

Does anyone know about them?

Now that looks suspecious. What are you signing people up to? I couldn't find much information on their web page. Do you suppose those email addresses are being sold over and over again? I guess I'm missing the point of that program because I see nothing about exactly WHAT they are signing up to.

actually handles the affiliate program for several websites, including iFriends, which supposedly converts VERY well. Most dating or personals sites only pay out $5-$8 per "free signup" and/or a percentage of the membership fee's for referred members (some recurring, some a one-time commission). This is a very high-dollar program, but also a very competitive industry for the marketer.

I think that's an adult network. Typically, adult networks are the most successful, highest paid systems on the Internet. Adult sites seem to be making most of the money, getting the largest traffic and making affiliates the most cash.

The reason for this is that most people are searching for adult-related materials online. If you use wordtracker.com you will notice that Paris Hilton is almost a permantent top-searched word on a daily basis.
It has for months and months.

There are adult sites making as much as $1,000,000 per month in revenue
and affiliates making huge paychecks. Adult dating is another market that's booming. It's a matter of choice and moral issues involved when you promote adult affiliate programs because, indirectly, you'd be contributing to the promotion and distribution of pornography/adult material in exchange for money.

While I don't promote adult materials, I am smart enough to know that's where many affiliates are making the big bucks because there a monstrous demand for adult stuff when in comparison to anything else online. It's big business because it has a worldwide appeal.

For example, there are sites with memberships exceeding 1,000,000. That's right. At, say $19.99/month per member, they are generating over $19,999,000 in monthly fees and paying affiliates out of that. So you do the math.

It's a $57 Billion dollar industry. $20 Billion of that is within the U.S. only.
Sad but true. Many affiliates keep quiet about it, but that's where the money is as well as Gambling. Anything that produces addiction tends to also produce big bucks. It's been like that long before the Internet was even a thought.

iFriends does have some adult content, but they also have videochat/networking on a variety of 'clean' topics, such as: finances, computer programming, job search, college guidance, etc. I would have to guess that they make most of their profits through astrology & personals, though. I joined the program through a list of recommended dating site affiliate programs, and hadnt checked it out very well until very recently...
