I just got an email from an angry person who says my website is in a pop-
up that is locking his screen. This is in a traffic generating program, that I
am NOT enrolled in.
I am not enrolled in ANY pop-up ad campaigns, so I immediately replied
with a request for more info.
Then talked to a very good lawyer.
A little more google-whacking led me to a site that sells:
Anti-pirating software! How to protect your site from being stolen!
Well, du-uh! Are these guys clever, or what! Gee, Like I'm really gonna lay out my credit card for that!
NOT.
You know, these records are going into a big box and when the box is full, it'll be worth that lawyer's court fee to put at least one person behind bars.
As if I couldn't track this nonsense to its source! I think too many of these so-called internet marketting gurus are into old-fashioned glue-sniffing! That's about their speed!
And I know these are not country boys, because country boys know that
cowpies cannot be piled more than a certain amount high before the pile
tips over, especially when it is fresh. I think these boys are standing on
the downhill side of that pile.
