Which do you like better Myspace or Facebook?

Postby Maa » Fri Jan 09, 2009 3:37 pm

I like Facebook better than Myspace. To me, it is more interactive. I have actually communicated with people on Facebook. Whereas with Myspace I just added people as friends and rarely, did I communicate with them. Sometimes there was so much stuff on their pages I couldn't read what it was saying. I like the clean cut no fuss look of Facebook too. I like whenever one of my friends posts I can see it and respond accordingly. I've even imported my blog and whenever I post all my Facebook friends can see it. Absolutely, love that feauture.

There is so much more you can do with Facebook with all the apps (though I still can't get my profile as I'd like), and it is for sure more marketer friendly.

I used to be more active on MySpace, but when they arbitrarily started changing links on my profile and blog posts, I moved away.

I still visit MySpace now and then, but not too often.

I like Facebook and enjoy talking to my friends and family there. I'm not a real fan of all the applications, though. In general, I ignore application invitations.

I agree with Ron, Facebook is much friendlier to marketers.

Act on your dream!

Personally I like MySpace better than Facebook, easier to navigate and I know the system well. Each to his own liking though.

Facebook all the way for me. I find the MySpace personal pages way too loud with music and spinning graphics. Ick.

Facebook hands down. It is much cleaner and less spammy and easier to use and I've had quite a bit more success with it.

Facebook has a lot more of the age range that I would be promoting to. As stated, it's also cleaner and more user-friendly.

I love Facebook. My daughter jokes with me and says "mom you're the only mom who is late someplace because we couldn't get you off Facebook"

I voted Facebook because I don't have a MySpace account; but I don't really *like* Facebook much. It's cool that I've connected with some high school friends and all, but I don't hang out on Facebook. I much prefer Twitter.

I'm also voting Facebook because I don't have a My Space. I only joined Facebook to check out a friend's pictures and now I'm all over it. I use it more for personal use though rather than business right now.

I know that supposedly Facebook can be used for business too via Pages; however, I never go to or search pages on Facebook for businesses. Never. To me, Facebook is a place to connect with high school friends and such, not to do business. I can't get over that one mental link for Facebook to connect it to anything to do with business. Although I am on a few groups there, I don't really participate in them, again, if it's not on my front page when I log in, I don't see it. Probably information overload on my part - anyone else?

Totally with you on info overload  I also agree with it being more for friend stuff not business. I am also on a few groups there but don't really participate and I ignore all those things that get sent to me on a daily basis LOL
