Getting Web Sites 1st page Ranking In Google

Postby blogging23517 » Sat Dec 20, 2008 4:18 pm

Hi,

I plan on offering my seo services to web site owners who are
deep down in Google's results for their main keyword.

How can I make sure I get paid after I get them a
top ten ranking in Google.

Well, to begin with, I would focus more on increasing their traffic rather than simply being on the front page. I also would charge by the hour rather than by whether or not they get on the front page. Just my 2 cents.

shouldn't you be paid first before you start SEO work on their site?

and then go from there.

You should probably receive payment before applying your services.

Their going to balk at paying me upfront
& I don't blame them.

Can you recommend a escrow service
for doing this.

Most people are going to want results before they pay, make sure they get what was promised, least I would. I hired a SEO guru once and paid half down, then the rest after seeing some results. That might be a route to try?

To me, SEO is such a tricky business, probably because there have been so many scammers saying they can guarantee the number one spot, which is impossible to guarantee. Can't blame people for being hesitant.

Testimonials from past successes, could also help get some cash up front. Just a thought.

What do you think of using a escrow service.

I dont want to spend a considerable amount of time
on the seo & backlinks & then having them not pay.

Don't blame you one bit, it's alot of work and time you could be out. I personally think going through escrow would be too much trouble for most people.

Then again, if your in control of those back links, until they pay, that might work as well. You'd be out the time, but you could disable their gains if you need to.

Sense most of these companies will be out of state
a contract would be useless & not profitable to enforce.

If you do this yourself would you mind if I talk to you on the phone
about this business my fingers are getting tired LOL

I'm serious about starting this service after being laid off & the bills are pilling up quickly.

If so PM me your number the dimes on me.

Perhaps if you offered some sort of time frame in which you would keep people on the front page. That would definately entice people. Getting on the front page of google is not hard, but since Google changes their ranking algorithm frequently, sites can shift around rather quickly.

You can ask your employer to pay you on monthly basis which will minimize the risk for both employer as well as employee.

Certain clients would be willing to pay in advance if they are sure about your capabilities and have verified your work from other clients.

Use an escrow service!!!

Sign up at elance.com or rentacoder.com(not sure about the exact url for that one)

I have used elance many times in the past... it is great. Make sure you use the escrow service and set milestones so that they pay half at the first milestone (eg: first revision) and pay full at the end of project.

Sign up it is fast and you'll love it :D :D

P.S. How can you get me on the 1st page of Google for my keyword?
