Therarestwords.com?

Postby Jbar » Wed Oct 01, 2008 7:51 pm

Lately I've been getting some traffic from here. (Only like, 4 or 5 users, since my website is really new anyway) I'm a little confused as to exactly what it is or how it works, but it's pretty interesting.

For those that're curious, type in http://www.therarestwords.com/(website name here) and most likely your website will be there. It lists the rarest used words on your site (or so I believe).

Anyway, just thought you all might find it relatively interesting if you don't already know about it. I just discovered it, anyway.

Wow thanks for posting that. This could actually turn out to be a pretty useful tool once they iron out the wrinkles.

If you're truly advanced in targeting content to user needs and variations in expression in a way to maximize your coverage of the query tail, then this type of analysis is quite productive for SEO. For most folks aiming at SEO, the fact that less frequent words are less frequent means that you don't really care. You'll likely be amazed at the mid-frequency queries you match at just by occupying your niche and doing the basic practices well.
