server root path

I am trying to make a digital file available through Cube cart and I cannot seem to get the server root path correct. How can I determine the server root path to folder when all the file manager tells me is "current folder"

Can anyone help?

the server root path is usually something like:

/home/yourusername/

it should show up in your hosting control panel before you go to the file manager.

by the way, if you are going to be doing this type of thing on your server, you really need to get a real ftp program and not use that silly file manager.

google for filezilla. it is free and very good.

it will allow you to manage your server much easier/faster and more completely, than the file manager.
