Hey guys, I'm Michael!
Seven years ago I started working on computers, at the time, my mother was interested in web design as a hobby for me "It could be interesting!"
So all I had was my Windows 95 Computer, Notepad, and Netscape's [sarcasm] wonderful [/sarcasm] composer; and I was ready to go!
After much searching I finally found a website that allowed me to learn at my own pace, and be able to start with the basics. It took me a month to learn basic HTML (you're probably faster, I just take my time).
This site covers the basics, and then as you get deeper into it and learn more it will cover the more advanced stuff. The site also covers a wide variety of other languages (css, php, js, ect.).
The site is here: http://www.w3schools.com/
HTML Tutorial (starting at the beginning): http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
No worries, this is all free! It's so worth the time invested!
Enjoy!
*EDIT* By the way, if any of you have any questions regarding any aspect of web design, PM me and I will give you my skype details!
