PHP classifieds script with multilanguage abilities

Postby Kalisto » Thu Jul 24, 2008 12:09 am

WorksForWeb (WFW), a software development team specialized in the classifieds solutions for the small business, announced the long awaited release of the multi-language version of its iLister classifieds script.

There are several localized translations of iLister already available, with new language files continuously added.

"There are several huge and important markets for non-English-speaking customers in Europe, Asia, and South and Latin America ready for iLister," said Mr. Bolton, WFW’s internationalization consultant. “iLIster now incorporates multi-language support allowing prospects to develop their own classifieds or virtual catalog websites in their own languages to target various communities and end users more effectively.”

iLister's multi-language version gives the ability to translate the entire website into several languages. An easy-to-navigate admin panel of iLister includes two new sections, Language Management and Translations. The first one is used to manage languages while the Translations section provides an interface to manually translate some or all phrases into one or several languages simultaneously.

Internationalization module allows users to switch between languages on the fly. Import/export of language files is also available for quick addition of new languages. The official iLister website at http://www.ilistersoft.com provides detailed instructions on how to use this function.

Having implemented multilingual functionality in iLister, WorksForWeb has completed its product internationalization effort, with iAuto (http://www.iautosoftware.com/) and iRealty (http://www.irealtysoft.com) being the first two products to receive multi-language interfaces. Servicing the needs of the worldwide audience of Web developers is one of the priorities WorksForWeb has set with the overall goal of increasing the customer base for the product. The WFW team is giving a chance for small businesses to acquire an inexpensive tool to create a veritable single- or multi-category classifieds portal.
