Hello all,
I wrote a small ebook a while back called:

and feel it may be able to help someone out there

.

About the ebook itself:
It's fairly short - 27 pgs. (file size 255k) I wanted to cut the fluff and keep it as basic as possible
It requires Acrobat Reader - free download from www.adobe.com
It assumes no prior knowledge of HTML or XHTML, but I'm sure those who already know some HTML will be able to benefit as well.

I also created an online version of the ebook using the techniques outlined - to illustrate my faith in it

You can view the . The online version is simply the ebook in XHTML form...

If I get enough good feedback from it - I would consider writing a follow-up filling in some of the blanks and covering some simple design tricks as well.

Just out of curiosity, why does it require Acrobat 5.0? I have found there are a lot of people still using 4.0 and if there is no compelling reason to create the pdf as 5.0 you really should think about making it 4.0 compatible.

Cool ... !! I do cover a bit CSS especially for SEO in my ebook. I think this will compliment nicely. I will be telling my subscribers about this ... Don's expect too much, I only have about 100 of them.

If you're still using Acrobat 4.0 ... you're not likely to pick up XHTML ;-)

ROFL Gary - true LOL...as I said before and I'll say it again - technology rarely goes backwards (however, I have seen it happen teeheehee)

Thank you kidino for the kudos - the fact that someone finds it valuable enough to recommend - that means a lot

I am starting a community called to help showcase women who "dream in CSS"...I got the idea when I literally had a dream in CSS (complete with brackets, positioning tags, and pixel perfection) - I may actually write a beginner's CSS tutorial as well...

very true - you can even have a tableless layout

- have a look-see at the source code of my and to see what i'm talkin' bout...

(don't look too hard at my design site though ROFL - that's getting redesigned soon anyhoo)

with CSS you can use tables for their original purpose - tabular data...
