How to make Droup down navigation bar

Here is an example what me looking for at www.cogentenergy.com and www.3ix.org

There is a navigation bar when u roll mouse over the link it drop down the sub menu.

Right now me using front page and in front page how it can be done.... plz assist mee

what browser are you using that has problems with those menus?

those are both just basic javascript type menus that all browsers newer than say, version 4.0 should have no problem displaying.

Firefox 5.0 Mac. Not sure where the problem is, could just be me of course.

The trouble with using Javascript is that some people browse with it turned off because their connection speed is slow and they don't want to wait for it to load, or they may just dislike Javascript ads.

Good point. I wonder what percent of net users disable javascript, has anybody seen any stats on that?

I must admit, I've given up accommodating folks who deliberately disable features in their browsers, like cookies and javascript.

Well there is a little bit of a discrepancy here, as no browser is 100% W3C compliant. Every browser has something that they are unable to render properly, and while IE has always been the poster child for least compliant they have gotten remarkably better with IE7 and 8. Of course, there are additional features in IE that are not standard, and developing to those standards is not advised.
