What should I be looking for in a pdf converter that is free, are there differences between the ones being offered for free

I think the one of the best options is Open Office http://www.openoffice.org/ It is what a lot of us use here.

Does offering a ebook on your site for free better then offering a report in word format, what is better to get them to subscribe to my list.

It is exactly the same as making it i word format just save as PDF nothing more beyond that.

I personally never got an ebook in Word format. nor do I know anyone who offers them.

The only time you would get an ebook in word format is if you are purchasing a PLR product and need to do the re-writes. It is part of the package. If you are selling or giving away an ebook it is usually in pdf format or .exe or as made with an ebook compiler software.

If you already have your word doc made just go to and upload your doc to be converted. As far as I know it is an automatic system so it is not like human eyes can see and steal your work if anything is copywritten.

I have been using it for almost a year with no issues. And yes it is free.

Best Option is OpenOffice's Word Processor. Work's very easily to create, and to save as a PDF. Allows you to easily intergrate your pictures for your front cover. (Hint, hint..) Download this one at http://www.openoffice.org

PDF995 at http://www.pdf995.com has a free converter that works very well also. You just print to the PDF Printer.

Another option is CutePDF, it works much like PDF995. It can be found at http://www.cutepdf.com

Those are the 3 options I've used for many items, and have installed many times for clients.

Note: If you already created your document in Microsoft Word, you can easily open it in OpenOffice, and then save as a PDF file. Your learning curve in OpenOffice will be almost zero, since it works very similar to Microsoft Word.
