New to Hostgator- email question

Hello,

I started using Hostgator yesterday (after being thoroughly confused with BlueHost--it is probably very user friendly, but I didn't get it). Taking all the great suggestions here, I signed on to Hostgator and was able to point my domain and install Wordpress. This is all thanks to the threads here! I am going through the set up basics.

Does is matter which email you use? They give 3 options. Is one more user friendly for the tech-challenged like me?

Also, is it possible to get the Hostgator email configured in such a way that it goes through my Window's Mail?

Creating a new email account in cPanel is easy as 1-2-3 just go to your cPanel login , click on the globe that says email below it. You will want to edit, add or remove an email account( choose that option), then click add
type the email address you would like in there it should already show your domain name so just worry about the front part of that. and add it. You will have to choose a password go ahead and do that.

once the system says it has been added hit your back button and you should see the email address there. You can change the quota on it and allow as much space as you want for that email box.

Once the email is in place you can have it auto configure your outlook or outlook express. You can do this buy looking to the right of where the address appears and clicking the appropriate option.

To just use webmail you can go to cPanel and hit the webmail button and login that way. Horde and Squirelmail are good but lack bells and whistles.
