:D , Hi everyone,

What is a "re-direct" and how does it work? I should know
the answer but never got into using "re-directs".
I have a site:
I missed the boat when it came time to give it a separate domain name.
Now, when advertising on Craigslist and other places, I am forced
to use this ugly URL. I have nicknamed it Car-Tunes.com
Do I set up a page on my server that says " Please excuse while
being re-directed " and using
to point to ?

A redirect is HTML that will send the browser to a new site automatically.

If you want to redirect everyone that goes to car-tunes.com to another site then create an index.html file at the root and in the <head> section you need to add a line like..

<META http-equiv=Refresh Content="0; Url=http://auto-sound.bestpaidathomebiz.com/">

The "0;" is the time to wait before redirecting. In this case 0 means immediate. So if you want to leave a message, you can change this to 30 or 60 seconds and they have a message.

Just note that when they get to the new site the location bar will say http://auto-sound.bestpaidathomebiz.com/.
