Building a Splash page

Where can I find information on building a splash page. I have never been very good at it, because I have never really learned the art. I want a splash page that will have a sign up form on it to collect name and email address for my reviews blog. Any help would be gladly accepted.

Can't remember where I received this from, but it free. Try it out. This is not an affiliate link or anything. It's a free program. You do need to sign up for their mailing list though. I receive emails occassionally. They don't spam you.

Yes I had a look they are charging $67 for it now. A little bit too steep for me just yet but thanks all the same

technically, a splash page is just page with maybe your logo and a link to the rest of the site.

most people hate them. when I click on a link to a site, I expect to get to the site, not to another page that has nothing but a logo and another link to get to the site.

If you are talking about a squeeze page, that is something altogether different.

It is really page to catch email addresses etc. I have a blog that does software and product reviews. I am wanting to advertise my site and what it is all about. I guess I could insert a form in wordpress to do all that for me. Not too sure how to do that though. But I will get my head around it
