I agree with Lynn. But you say you should have pulled the plug five months ago. That sounds like you want to shut it down, not just move it. But if there is bandwidth being consumed, it might be in your best interest to find out what's using that bandwidth. If the site isn't profitable, maybe there's a way you can capitalize on that traffic depending on where it is coming from.

I'd look into the analytics programs your hosting service has available to you and find out what's going on.

and the answer to your question is to simply delete the files and the database ( if any ) and it will be gone.

you can do it from your cpanel, but it would be much better to delete the files using ftp .
