oh yeah, open source is the king of content.

sometimes you just can't beat it for the price and functality.

and I use Fantastico to offer hosting clients a easy way to install the (hopefully) latest versions of the hottest software applications for php and mysql.

now, let's compare just for example MySQL with Oracle.

Oracle is Paid

how much is the benefit of paid to free here, I have worked with oracle and personally have gone back to MySQL mostly because of cost versus stability.

Yes, Stablity, Oracle is Excellent for corporate software which you don't want unwanted executions from hackers who know the coding as to Mysql which is free and you can get the source and teach yourself loop holes and when visiting sites that run mysql try shoofing and sql injections.

I have never encourted problems with hackers and oracle, however mysql, mmm get's hacked right much.

and php is hacker central!, I use it thoe. php is mostly unsecure because of 1 of 2 reasons.

I barely know that one creates the database and you use the other to access the database among other things. But beyond creating a wordpress database in XAMPP for which you use php admin to access said base I know little. So I will readily defer to you on both subjects
