QUESTION ON SITE MAPS

1) anyone know which site map creators below and which of the two should one use for google and other search engines

http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ versus http://www.sitemapbuilder.net/

2) Why do people put importance to building a web site with a friendly google site map and not place any emphasis on other search engines like yahoo and others

3) isn't a site map the same as a table of contents web page listing links to other pages how is a site map better since it basically i think does the same the same for search engines that a table of contents does

I will digest this more, makes sense but will probably need help once I do it.

Google Site Map. one you build out of xml coding and place onto your home directory of your ftp. yoursite.com/sitemap.xml then you login to google webmaster accounts and submit your sitemap file to be spidered.

Ok...i have a site called http://www.mortgage-careers-usa.com/ I may like to do something with this for the experience. What would be my exact steps in getting this done for this site, i host with hostgator

are these some of my steps to follow

Do i have to call host gator for anything,

i use frontpage to create the website, do i still ftp with this editor

create a google webmaster account if so where do i do this

huummmmmmmm any steps missing.....lol
