Again, Wordpress and Frontpage are two different animals. Frontpage is an HTML editor / web design program. Wordpress is a blogging platform. So neither of them is going to have all of the features as the other. Though they both have similar functions - to publish content.

Someone might use Wordpress instead of Frontpage if they wanted to update their site daily with new content or journal entries. If your pages will not change often, a static website designed in Frontpage (or any editor) would work fine.

Wordpress wont 'compromise' your SEO efforts. You will optimize your site basically the same no matter what CMS (content management system) you use to design/maintain it.

If you already know Frontpage well, why are you considering using Wordpress?

Blogging is used when you want to constantly publish new content on a topic, and is a great marketing tool alongside a website in almost any niche. It helps you to build a readership in a niche market, and you can funnel that traffic to your offers (sites).

I agree...

Wordpress is good for a site that needs to update daily or weekly (fresh content).

I used to build a site using dreamweaver but it need more work if I add new content. Now I use wordpress for my site.

With wordpress I only need to write a content and wordpress will do it automatically.

There are many plug in (which is free) that you can integrate with your wordpress' site.

IMO, wordpress is good for newbie to build a site.

If you can't install wordpress by yourself, you can buy hosting service which has wordpress installer (usually in fantastico).

Hope this help....

you are still missing the point.

wordpress is not a web site builder, it is simply a blog software.

now, if your whole site is just the wordpress blog, then I guess you could say you "built a site using wordpress"

if you want anything other than just a blog, then you have to build it with a website building software like frontpage or dreamweaver, etc.
