A licensed medical assistant is needed to gather data in residential care facilities for people with developmental disabilities. The data consists of diagnoses, medications and laboratory reports. The technician will also train and then follow up with the caregivers at the facilities.
A facility visit takes around 3 hours. 12 visits will be completed. 6 visits will be completed in the South Central Los Angeles area and 6 in the San Gabriel area. This is approximately 50 hours per month on a contract basis.
This work is done in the field and not in a medical office.
Interviews will be completed via Skype or Sightspeed. Training will be done at the residential care facility and internet.
The candidate must have the following at time of interview:
1. Car
2. Laptop computer (Windows operating system)
3. Internet access (via wireless card by cell phone)
4. Webcam
5. Microsoft Office with MS Access
6. License as either a LVN or Pharmacy Technician
The following qualities are needed
1. Independent/make own hours
2. Reliable
3. Knowledge of psychopharmacology and diagnosis (quiz will be required)
4. 3 references
5. Available by phone or text message during business hours
6. Good communication skills
7. Deliver services on time with minimal supervision
