We are looking for great freelance writers to help in promoting our site, PNN.com -The Global Water Cooler for Women. It’s one of a very few high tech startup companies that is aimed at a global women’s community and run by a woman. It was founded by a computer software author and a journalist.
We need writers that can develop their own story/angle for the site, as well as pitch the piece and get it placed in mainstream media. PNN.com has a great story behind it and we’ve got plenty of ideas, but it will be up to you to get the stories accepted at newspapers or magazines.
We're open to where you can get the placement (newspapers, magazine, online, blogs, etc.) and the angle of the story (within reason) we're simply interested in great press exposure.
Compensation is negotiable depending on the media and size of the piece.
We need the end result to drive readers to www.pnn.com and get them know about the site.
Women’s social media is the fastest growing online group, women entrepreneurs are in the minority but are breaking barriers daily, citizen journalism is maturing and taking on the mainstream, and web applications, once scary, are now for everyone –all of this leads to mainstream media in search of stories.
