I recently revamped my content on the homepage and started focusing on SEO for the entire site. I have alot more to do, but the last google rank i moved up to page 3 (i was surprised since i have more to do)

So if i understand you correctly, Remove the banner and replace with a Text - MommysClub?
move the newsletter up to the top - Above the text?
Bolding the keywords within the text is the way to go?

Well, as to what you use for a headline...it's the benefits of being on your site....not just "Mommy's Club"...
And, all I am stating is that banners in the upper center to right area of a site get an automatic "eye skip" from most visitors, because banners are so prevalent on the web.
That may not be the case here, but it usually is.
