Hi Keith,

My first impression of the "old" site (the one in your sig) was "He's trying to sell me something."

My first impression of your new site was "He's trying to help me learn something."

I much prefer the new site to the old.

Content-driven sites are my favorite... even if they are ultimately trying to sell me something, I can get an idea of whether or not to trust the person behind the website (and the products being pitched) based on the quality of the content. If I like the content and it makes me feel the person truly knows his/her stuff, I place more credibility in the products he/she recommends, and am more likely to buy.

BTW, I lived in Bellevue NE for many years. My dad still lives there; my brothers live in LaVista. Small world, eh?

Yeah...definately a small world...I'm actually from San Diego, and went to school in Chico for a while....where I learned that there was a little town in the Bay area called Vacaville!

I assume you do have plans to add a graphic header, but I would hope it wouldn't be as 'pitchy' as the old one. I do agree that the new site is more consultive than sales oriented, and I personally like that too.

When I viewed the "old" site, the first impression was to get a grip on my wallet, LOL. The second site is crisp, clear, and full of content to help others. Good Job!

Thanks, everyone for your feedback. Based on everyone's feedback of the site you DID like, I totally re-did the site no one likes, which is now in my signature file.

Disclaimer: I'm NOT the pretty girl in the photo on the new website...and I doubt her name is Keith! Because of her, I didn't do anything in first person for the update!
