Which is the most famous chat program now?

Postby nenzee » Fri May 15, 2009 1:02 am

This one is a simple questions and a polling panel to check which is the most famous chat program now. There are many chat sites that you may be using. my usage depends on the use. If it is official I prefer pidgin and when to chat with friends I prefer Gtalk. Now please tell me which one is your favorite? So which Chat service are you use more often ?
Yahoo -- Yahoo Messenger
Google -- Gtalk
MSN -- Hot mail

Advance thanks for any replies.

I don't use any chats except maybe AOL Instant Messenger when I'm on there but it's rare I use that anymore.

Twitter
Skype
Please note that many Webinars, gotoMeetings, etc include the ability to chat so feel it is less necessary to have a seperate chat client. IRC is the grand daddy of chat and I presume still around. 8)

Trillian

Postby createyourdream » Sat May 16, 2009 1:47 pm

I've tried to use Trillian over the years to combine the various IM platforms, but it ends up using too many resources on my machine. I don't use IM since everyone I know is on Twitter or FriendFeed if I need to be in touch.

I use skype sometimes.
best, Mary

I use Yahoo Messenger to chat with friends. Now when I am online on Facebook I have been using their chat feature too!

I use Skype, Twitter, Facebook, and Yahoo, not necessarily in that order.

It really depends on what I'm doing, as to which one I have open, if any.
