Thank you for sharing. On the radio yesterday the DJs were talking about another form of Gift Card fraud.
Stores like Wal-Mart or Target keep their gift cards on displays throughout the store where you may pick one up, take it to the register to load some money into it.
What thieves are doing is writing down the many digits of the gift card and consistently checking online until that particular card has money loaded to it. They shop with it afterwards and empty the balance before the intended recipient has a chance to use it. Thieves consistently find ways to dupe honest people.
