clients have no bank accounts, how can they pay?

Postby helmy » Fri Feb 15, 2008 6:00 am

Dear Lynn

When you have clients are students, they don't have bank account. how can they pay? They don't have credit card. so they can not use paypal.

How can I ask the student to go to the bank and to deposit 10 Egyptian pounds every three months only to my bank account?

FYI, U.S $ 1 = 6 Egyptian pounds.

And I am out of the country. I am in United Arab of emirates. I don't want to sell my service to Egyptians only.

Most of my clients can not pay online!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What should I do? Please advice

Helmy

Interesting topic.

Where are your customers located? Are they primarily in the Middle East? Where do they use your site? (At home, or an internet cafe)

I'm very skeptical to believe students will go to a bank and deposit money into your account, it's just to inconvenient, and not the instant experience people expect on the internet.

I do not know if they offer them over where you are but pre paid credit cards are a big thing here in the USA. It allows people who do not have bank accounts or who cannot qualify for a regular credit card the chance to still have the convenience of a credit card for things like online purchases. Simply they buy the card ( a good example: greendot card) and load it with money then use it like a regular credit card.

Because you are outside the USA I am not sure how your banking system is set up though.

Do you think a bank will accept $2 only deposit in my bank account? it looks silly i think, the student him self will shy to go to the bank to deposit this little amount of money.

pre paid credit cards
I will look for that one. If it is available it will be a great solution

Hi,

have you heard of OneTouch Online Purchasing™ ? Its a payment processing service for digital downloads. Basically it turns every bank, ISP or mobile operator as a PayPal for the consumer. So when someone who does not have a bank account or a credit card and wants to pay for a digital download from the web or the mobile, he simply charges his mobile operator or ISP that he already has an existing account with.It is very easy and quick to use.Maybe this is an application you can benefit from?
