Can I do this with PayPal?

Postby dbh » Sun Jan 06, 2008 5:44 pm

Hi everyone!

I need to do the following on one of my sites:

I'm going to use Add-To-Cart buttons for my products, no problem.

BUT

I also need to collect the buyer's first name & email address, but ONLY at checkout time. Can I do this with PayPal?

I could simply put text fields next to each Add-To-Cart button, but that looks pretty tacky and wastes alot of space. Any ideas are very much appreciated......

I'm honestly not sure, Darrell.

Would you like me to move this thread to the public Payment Processing forum?

I believe that you will automatically get their email address when they pay you. paypal will send you an email stating that you have a payment and who it is from.

I am not sure about whether you will get their name or not.

However, there are many different ways to use paypal so that you get all the info you require during checkout, etc.

You are not stuck with only using the add to cart buttons.
