Looking for merchant account options

Postby gilbert » Sat Jan 20, 2007 3:16 pm

Hi!
I was looking for credit card processing options for my small business web-site (selling custom web-design services). PayPal is not available in UA and i am not sure about 2CO. Recently i have found http://www.securemarket.org and they seem to be a perfect march. Has anyone used their services?
Thank you.

I havent... anyone else?

I have used 2CheckOut (2CO) though, and am pleased with their service in regards to accepting international payments. They also offer a built-in affiliate program if you want to let people refer clients to you for a commission or referral fee.

As I have mentioned, I live in Ukraine and I am not sure that these services will be available for me to use. I agree with you that they are most popular and are the good choice, but in my country they are not available.

Hello Terry,
Do you use 2CheckOut exclusively, or in addition to PayPal? My customers currently purchase subscriptions for my product through PayPal, but for some reason when a customer cancels his/her subscription, Paypal continues to bill them. This goes on for 3-4 months sometimes before the customers subscription is actually canceled on their end. Now, everyday I have to issue refunds to irate customers who were billed in error. Needless to say, these ongoing billing mistakes doesn't make my business look very good. I'm looking for a comparable alternative to PayPal.

Thanks,
Greg

I use them both, but yes - 2CO handles recurring commissions beautifully. I have a recent blog post on the topic you may want to read, to give you some insight into what I am using and what I am considering:

Let me know if that raises any questions.

Also, if you decide to sign up for 2CheckOut, this is my referral link:
