Hello,

I plan to apply for Adsense on my new , as soon as I add some more content to it.

Here's my question: I have several articles that I plan to write which use parables to drive various points home. For example, my first post is about the similarities between parenting and piloting. Is there a way that I can tell Google (Or any other contextual advertising company) that I want to target parenting-related keywords, rather than airplane-related keywords? Or, must I leave it to whatever the bots determine?

Hi Ellen,

Generally, no. Google will scan your page content to determine what ads they will show. However, if you find that you get a lot of untargeted ads, you can apply the to filter out the irrelevant ads. That might be a workaround.

Ok, I found what I needed.

YES, Google lets you emphasize and ignore parts of your content for Adsense targeting! So I won't get airplane ads on my parenting site... Woo-Hoo!!!
