A new/additional way to benefit from AdSense

Hi all,

I was just thinking that maybe the AdSense ads displayed on your pages could be used for other things than just getting paid for clicks.

My idea is this.

If you as an owner of a content-loaded site haven't found any affiliate partners because you find it hard to research why not use AdSense as a brainstorming tool ?

AdSense is after all in general doing an excellent job of finding the most appropriate ads.

Just go to visit the AdSense Lookup Tool at or - or the one that I'm sure Lynn will be implementing very shortly.

Type in the URL of a page where you would like to feature ads for an affiliate program.

The AdSense tool will show 5 different ads.

Just visit those that are really on topic, evaluate their product/affiliate program, sign up and begin featuring small text-based ads for those.

Let the ads sit there for some time and then evaluate the clicks-to-sales ratio.

If it doesn't convert well you could try switching over to AdSense ads so you at least get paid for the clicks.
