Anyone know a good press release service?

Postby kirkward » Thu Jan 08, 2009 9:46 pm

I'm looking for a free or reliable paid press release service?

Anyone have any recommendations on one that seems to get results with the media?

Cheers,
Kirk

I think the standard is PR Web. It's expensive, though - about $200 for an SEO optimized press release (that means you can use anchor text).

When I did my first press release, I signed up for PR Web but didn't have the press release ready, so I didn't place an order right away. A few days after that, they sent me an offer for $60 off my first SEO optimized press release (I think I had to submit the press release within a week of the initial offer).

So if you decide to use PR Web, you can probably get a discount by signing up and then waiting a week or so before you submit.

Thanks Laura,

That's an interesting technique to try.

I do Press Releases all the time for my clients and often use PR Web. So far they have been the best. I see the release on many legitimate websites such as about.com and more. Most other services just run your release on a thread through sites they own which have little or no traffic.

You get what you pay for in life and PR Web delivers. Their support service is also excellent. If you need help setting up an account let me know I can help.

PR Web should be paying me for this review! Or maybe a free listing, HA!

The recommendations keep pouring in for PRWeb to the threads on the several sites I've posted in and I am so embarressed. I had a brain blank and could not remember their name. The first time it came through I was so embarrassed because that is who I was trying to remember.

cheers

Those services do just about the same thing, one isn't any better than the other. They do the same thing for just about the same cost. The bigger issue is with the press release itself. If you don't have anything to say, using a press release service isn't going to guarantee you get any notice.
