Before you decide to make money online, it would be wise to choose a product or topic that you like and are familiar with. Then, in my opinion, affiliate marketing is the easiest place to start until you know more about internet marketing.
Study internet marketing sites, forums, read articles - anything you can do to learn. There are several good books around on the subject as well!

Let me be honest with you. Although I market my business on the internet, I don't spend any money on advertising. I do it all for free. Although I save a lot of money by using free tools and resources, there are certain tools and resources I use that I paid for. These tools help me speed up my marketing efforts by allowing me to quickly and easily post my articles, forum posts, and submit my websites to directories and search engines.
