You could try article marketing. A very useful and informative original article will work wonders if you market it properly.
Another promotional way is thru forum or blog posting to similar niches. This allows you to target your desired audience via your sig.

I really don't spend much on ads at all for 2 reasons
1. I'm cheap
2. I've found effective ways to do it for free

I noticed in your tips you mentioned using WIKIPEDIA in what way?
I'm not sure how to use it to bring in traffic. I'm not familiar with the site/interface. Could you help me to understand better what you mean.

are you on the subscriber / mailing lists of some credible & successful internet marketing experts out there ? If so, you can consider doing joint ventures or JVs with some of them if you've been on their list for a while. JVs are a very good way of increasing free traffic to your site within a short time. I've done a few JVs with some of these genuine internet marketing experts, & gotten some good traffic & results as a result of it.
