The lines between social bookmarketing and social networking are blurring somewhat.
Social networking sites include:
Myspace.com
Facebook.com
Ryze.com
Adlandpro.com
and lots more.
Social bookmarking includes sites like
del.icio.us
This service provides a way to bookmark pages and attach keywords that describe them. Instead of just bookmarking the page on your browser, you bookmark it on the web and other people can find the pages when they click a link in a tag cloud, go to the site and click on a link, or search for specific tags (keywords).
Whenever I put up a new lens on Squidoo, for instance, I bookmark it on del.icio.us
Some sites are blurring the lines between networking and bookmarking. They include:
bumpzee.com
stumbleupon.com
and others.
They make it easy to bookmark a page, but they also provide tools for easily finding other sites. You can comment on or review the sites you or others have added.
They can be effective in bringing more visitors to your sites, blogs, etc.
Act on your dream!
