Question About Solo Ads

Hi guys, I have a question about Solo Ezine Advertising. I have had a lot of success with safelists and online classifieds in weekly Ezines, but Solo Ads has been one area that I feel doesn't get me the results I'm looking for.

I get great results, but I still feel that I can push my ad copy a bit more to have a stronger effect on my audience.

So my question to you is what do you look for when you are about to place a solo ad , what are the highest priority things that you look for in a good Solo Ezine Advertising site in terms of importance?

Would you bother getting into Solo Ads these days because I think there is too much competitors and the market has been "over advertised" to, and your warm market has no value for you at all anymore.
