ARE THESE FIELDS CROWDED?

Hi all,

I read some research done by "forrest research" on products that will record increase in sales online in a magazine and it's as follows;

Food and Beverages :49% growth reaching $18.2billion.
Home Products :42% growth reaching $42billion.
Flowers,Cards&Gifts :41%growthreaching$5.3billion. all by 2007.

I would like to know if these fields are good for newbies to start off and if it is not crowded already.

Very crowded....but, then again so is every niche you can come up with today. The key is not necessarily finding a niche that is not crowded, but coming up with a "twist" in a niche where everyone is doing the same thing.

Hi Rumford,

The problem is that those are very broad niches. What you want to do is explore sub-niches within those broader niches and then focus on analyzing those.

I agree with Lynn and Jim's comments

Personally I feel it really does not matter how much competition there is in a market. What you need to do is just be different from everybody else you need to come up with a Unique Selling Proposition (USP) that distinguishes you from everybody else
