Postby kowhai » Sat Nov 03, 2007 5:31 pm

I have word tracker etc, but I need to really know how to do good keyword research. It there a good blog that covers it in detail or maybe even a website. Any help will be gladly accepted.

Hi Anthony,

As an Elite Member, you have access to Easy Niche Blueprint and to my special report on Keyword Research.

I cover it quite a bit at ClickNewz too:

... etc

I'd be interested in hearing other good resources myself - so I look forward to more replies. Great topic!

Large corporations spend millions on sophisticated surveys and focus groups from established researchers such as Harris Interactive (HPOL) and Survey Sampling to determine whether their products or services will appeal to customers at a price they're willing to pay. But for entrepreneurs operating on a shoestring budget.

Hey Anthony. Here's what i suggest you do:

1. Come up with 4-8 keyword ideas (think about the problems your target audience is facing when they're typing in keywords to search)

2. put them into google keyword tool

3. Look out for these stats: CPC $, avg search volum per month (you want this to be high), competition (you want this to be low, less than 1)

4. chuck the data into good keywords or some free keyword sorting software

5. and decide your keywords!

Now optimise your page with 1 keyword per page.

CPC $ is especially important for PPC, because if it's too high, you can't make a good ROI. But not so much for SEO.
