Need to learn how to identify traffic stats for advertisers

Postby RussellWebb » Sat Sep 08, 2007 3:47 pm

Can anyone offer any tips on how I can recognize how much traffic a site receives on avg?

I'm doing some research on advertising with a few sites. But before I commit I want to be clear on their traffic claims.

Is there an easy way to do this? Through Google toolbar maybe???

Tools for analyzing traffic stats...

These are probably the best respected:

Quantcast.com

Compete.com

Statsaholic.com

Alexa.com

I'm guessing someone in the SEO forum might also be able to give you even more data based on what keywords a site is ranking for and what position they're in.[/url]

Try asking the site web owner. They will all have anayltics like Google or Hitslink.

Most servers have AW stats or Webalizer as well.

(Alexa.com is a guide but it can be maipulated because it is driven by people who have the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser and it tends to favor IM markets)
