Some good advice in here and yes, I am now making sure I use Godaddy.com or other site to register domains, and a separate host.
Here's an update. I did finally get everything straightened out and the site back up and running in 8 days. However, this was before I realized I should move the domain name from them, so when I renewed hosting, I indicated that they renew my domain as well (which they had done for 2 years previous). What I didn't know (and they didn't inform me of it) is that there was now a site set up for me to manage and renew my own domain ...my friend told me this later because she was with them as well ....but has since moved her hosting).
Anyway, everything was okay for about 4 weeks. I was checking it deligently the first couple of weeks....then of course December came along and I slacked off (holidays, family, etc. etc.) So I log into an affiliate site to check sales (which come directly from this particular website). Here it is, December 12th and 0 sales. Hmmmm....
So I type in my URL and big surprise (well not really LOL)....no website, no domain, nothing. At that point I said screw it, cancelled hosting with them, requested a refund and started a new similar site under a different domain name (and the domain is with Godaddy). The hosting is with Webhostingbuzz.com which I found recommended here on these forums.
So all is good with the world again. Better site design and I'm much happier. The site got indexed quickly and several keywords are already bringing up pages on the first page of a Google search.
Anyway, all-in-all it turned out to be a good lesson for me and hopefully will help anyone else setting up a business website.
