I am trying to learn enough to get started with my own site and have a question about Lynn's recommendation for ThirdSphere. I know absolutely nothing about how forums work but want to have one on my site. When I look at ThirdSphere's site, they mention chat room, but do not mention forums. Although I've never been in a chat room (that I know of), I'm thinking they are different in that a chat room is instant feedback whereas a forum is - well, just like this
Another question: What if you do have a problem with them. Then ALL of your eggs are in one basket. Is that a problem? What sort of downtime do they have? Anyone know? They seem to have a great package. Is there any feedback from people who are using them?
By the way, sorry I don't have picture, profile, etc. yet. I'm multi-tasking right now and have mostly just been lurking and learning. In addition to having a chronically ill husband, I'm trying to repaint our whole house, trying to get my classes ready for fall (I teach college), and keep up with my garden (which the snakes and weeds just love).
This site is my date for when I drink my morning tea and I appreciate how much I am learning here.
