Searching for a good domian registration company

Hi everybody!
I've been researching and feel a bit scared as to what I should do about registering a domain name for my site.
I went to the nodaddy site. Lot's of info there but I don't feel the least bit secure as to which domain registrar is the best.

Many people are talking badly about godaddy.
Can you all tell me your personaçl experiences with godaddy and if there is a better registrar out there ?

I am looking for a company that won't just freeze our domain name without a clear reason.
So many people file complaints because they are competitors and are threatened by others. I want to be sure that my domain regitration place won't do that.

I have never had any dealings with godaddy, so can't help you there.

The one that I use is www.namecheap.com, I have been using them for about a year and have never had any problems. You can also go to www.dncoupons.com and select namecheap from the drop down menu and it will give you the current coupon. The coupon will generally give you about a dollar off your registration.

I've used Go Daddy for years and I have around 80 domains registered with them and I've never had any problems.

Use coupon code oyh3 at check out and your domain is only $6.95.

I've been using that coupon for almost a year and it was still good as of last week.

Even though some people are doing well with godaddy, after I went to the nodaddy site I don't feel sooo comfortable going with godaddy.
I have not yet found any horror stories on namecheap. If anyone does have a bad story please post the link to it so that I may read about it.
I am more inclined to getting my domain at namecheap.
I will probably get my hosting account at hostgator.
