Thanks for the reply.
I guess it would help if I proof read my own messages before firing them off b/c I even confused myself when I read that baby above just now.
What's confusing to me is the organization within in cpanel. I agree the subdomain URL (http://subdomain#1.mydomain.com) set up is organized and works great. It's the folder configuration within the public_html folder that has me confused. Let me try explaining this in a more lucid manner (yah good luck Paul).
OK in my case on my server I have my name as my main domain lets call it www.myname.com. I don't know if this has any significance in this case but thats how its set up. FYI I guess.
Then in the public_html folder I created a niche site, lets call it www.nichesite.com
When I create subdomains for nichesite the subdomain folders ended up at the same level as nichesite under the public_html folder within cpanel (thats what I meant by side by side - a confusing way to put it I know).
I created 13 subdomains for nichesite and so I've got 14 plus folders in the public_html folder. So lets say I want to continue doing this with more niche sites and before I know it I've got all these nichesites and subdomains and I don't know the difference b/t a subdomain and a nichesite and/or which subdomains belong with which nichesites. It seems very confusing to me if I understand it correctly. The subfolder method seems to be a lot more organized as far as that goes.
If I am correct, then is there a way to set up nichesites and subdomains in the public_html folder that will be easier to distinguish whats what for picky yo-yo's like me or will I have to bag the subdomain method and go with subfolders?
I guess I should have set up the server so that my main domain was more niche site generic say sites4u or something instead of myname (good one! thank you). then would I have been able to pull it off or not?
Thank you
Paul
