So it DOES work on certain groups - for mods, you say? I was going to suggest you put in a ticket with your host to see if it was on their end... but that wouldnt make sense if you can mass email your mods.

Or maybe your server limits the # of outgoing messages in a certain period of time?

You might put in a ticket though, just to see if maybe they can help you figure out what the problem is. Some support crew are super-helpful - you might get lucky

actually, I got a warning from one of the moderators about making too many not useful posts. he accused me of trying to increase my post count and linking to non relevant things.

I got really upset, which I don't do very often, and confronted him and the head mod about it. They threatened to ban me, but I told them I didn't care.

I said that if they could show me more that just a few cases where my posts were not helpful or accurate, I would publickly apologize. I also told them they should do a poll to see how many phpbb users think that my posts helped them out.

yeah, I do get a little sarcastic with idiots some times, but then I offer to help them anyway.



Oh well, I am not banned, I still post as much as I want to help people.

heck, I spend most of my waking hours there, I would have to have a lot of posts.

there are a couple of options to email all the members when you have a limit from your host.

one is to create usergroups and then you can put the maximum number of members in each group. this is somewhat cumbersome and probably not the best way.


another is to install a small MOD that allows you to extract the email addresses from your database .

then get and install a mailing list script on the server,

then you can add the list from the database into your new mailing list program and send the email in smaller groups to be under the limit on your server.

does that make sense?
