Hi Stefani,
It appears that there is a problem with a file which is limiting access to your database. Because it can't access your database, it can't write the necessary session information, and therefore is throwing up a critical error.

Since I don't work often with phpBB, my suggestion would be to double check your sessions.php file and make sure that it's not corrupt. Also, it looks as though a file called phpbb_sessions.MYI should exist somewhere on your server.

It may be created on the fly, or you may have uploaded it -- in either event, the file is not where it's supposed to be. Double check your file permissions to make sure they're correct or re-upload the necessary file.

Hope that helps and gives you some ideas. Only wish I could be of more assistance.

You may get some help at the PHPBB.com forum. You can usually take the error (or a piece of it) and put it into Google as well, to see if other people are discussing it and have posted solutions.

My forum is now fixed thanks to my wonderful host.

Here is how it was fixed.......

Go to your mysql icon in your cpanel and it will list all your databases and give you some options by each one, pick 'repair'.
