PDF revision?

Postby bizdev » Thu Apr 06, 2006 12:16 pm

Pdf question...
Can I make a revision to text on already completed pdf ebook?
After manually adding custom bookmarks and adding all the hyperlinks and internal links and comments, etc., I discovered a typo in the text!
How can I correct that in the pdf file?

Thanks!

The only way I know is to open the original document, edit it, save it, and then convert it to a PDF file again.

PDF revision

I was afraid of that. I was hoping to avoid having to go back to the word document and convert again because of all the customized bookmarks and links. Doh!
I don't suppose there is any way to save or carry over all of that when I go to convert again?

Thank you!

Not that I am aware of... but it'd be nice to know if there was!

It's always a nightmare when you have to make revisions to pdf documents.

You are meant to be able to make small changes to pdfs. Here's a guide to hopefully help you.

So once a PDF file is created, editing it directly is a real female dog?

I'm frustrated as heck scrolling through the Word document to make changes, rewrites and add material. Is there honestly no simple way to directly edit a PDF and if not, who can I kill to help me feel better?

You can edit pdf files without the source files using Adobe Acrobat Pro. It retails for about $500
