New ebook - go viral, try offering resellers rights????

Would love to hear some pros/cons/insights here, so please put your thinking caps on!

Okay, normally I've sold ebooks through Clickbank - straight-out sales of my own books, and affiliate sales.

Would like to monetize one of my websites a little more, know of introductory info that would be appreciated by site visitors (and don't know of anyone offering similar info in this large niche), thought of writing an ebook on that topic. Am thinking I'd put affiliate links within the book to products I recommend for more advanced info and that's where I'd make the bulk of MY money.

So - just give the book away in return for name/email address, and encourage other people to give it away too (for the same benefit, building a list)?

Sell it cheap - say $10?

Sell it cheap (or NOT so cheap...) and give away Resell Rights?

SO MANY permutations of this idea - like allowing the book to be branded with the reseller's personal affiliate links (for a fee) - I'd kinda like to try the resell rights or viral concept with this book but am a bit overwhelmed by the idea.
