Long sales copy versus short sales copy.

Hi Jeff, I know all you guys swear by that long sales letter written for you by Stone... but personally, I hate them. I don't have the time to muck about and I want the highlights, the price, and the Buy button. And, that's it. I don't want pontificating, pimping, preening, prissy presentation.

There's only one long sales letter I've ever read start to finish... and that's in . And the only reason I read it was because it was funny.

Hey. I just started a thread about this in Home office talk. Sorry I quess I should have looked here first. Personally, I don't like them either, to me, they seem suspious the longer they are, but that's not what the majority seems to say....what do I know...I'm just the new guy who doesn't even know where to post.

The bottom line I think is this, like others have said make it interesting, and intereactive. I have one more thing that bugs me though. Never getting to the price till the very bottom of the page. If you don't want to give it away too early at least have a link to buy now, or something. If I am convinced in the first 1/4 of the page, and have to keep scrolling for five minutes, until my thumb gets tired to get to a chance to buy, I may [probably will] lost interest (or guess that its a couple hundred dollars or more than I can afford because they are afraid to mention the price).
