Strange as it sounds, one great way to keep your copy -- especially your headlines -- tight and focused is by using Twitter:
Whenever I have a headline (or sentence) that seems too wordy or "clumsy", I run it through Twitter and shave it down until it's under the 140 character limit. It's a great way to keep your headlines and sentences tight and clear.
If you know of any other tools, websites or resources like this that help you with your copy, please share 'em here.
It'd be great to compile a list of helpful copywriting resources for everyone to benefit from.

Glyphius scores your copy against winning/losing copy. It has some value,
and I've used it a lot, although it's not a magic bullet for writing good copy.
Just do a search for Glyphius if you're interested.
I also use Google Website Optimizer extensively for split-testing my copy.
It's free to use (for now).
Just do a search on Google for Google Website Optimizer.

Here's another great online copywriting tool if you don't already have MS Word or software that will calculate the "readability" of your ads:

Awesome!
Kyle, that link about web browser compatibility alone is gonna save me a TON of time for now on.
Here's another to add to the mix, from Terry Dean's blog, a huge pile of great resources:
