How do I set up my own Affiliate Program on a Budget?

Postby fast-pack.com » Tue Dec 30, 2003 3:59 pm

Hello All!,

The subject says it all "How do I set up my own Affiliate Program on a Budget?" Looking for an EASY, inexpensive way/program to set up an affiliate program for our site, or even a few products. Any ideas on a good program to use?

If its an info-product... I'd go with ClickBank ;)

If not...

I've used Your Affiliates: http://www.sunnyscript.com/item1.htm ($59) in the past with a clients site, and it was a great program - easy to install & use.

But, having looked at several solutions, I would personally choose http://www.groundbreak.com/ .

Allan Gardyne has a great article/resource on this topic too:

Keep us posted on what you choose ;)

You can also try http://www.mals-e.com/index.htm - Absolutely free! You just have to pay your affiliates. LOL.

Now that PayDotCom has hit the market, it's a much better option! Check out the PayDotCom vs ClickBank thread for more details.

I did choose groundbreak... and now I have to say, I dont recommend them at all :? Support is practically nonexistent! A shame really, because they have a GREAT product.

Remember however that you get what you pay for. ALSO pro super affiliates, the ones you really want on your team will only join programs that have tried and true tracking ideally that they have used and already trust.

If you want a better chance of success I would go with a network. www.shareasale.com is a trusted favorite and only 150 to set up. www.linkconnector.com has lots of advantages including naked links and I believe is FREE set-up right now.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I use and recommend Plimus. It helps you accept orders online, by phone, fax, wire transfer, and mail. They also provide affiliate management and tracking solutions. Their customer support is also great. What's more, they have no setup fee.

I like ClickBank. Also, I have been an affiliate with people I have met online who have a great product but don't necessarily use any 3rd party service providers.
