How do you recruit affiliates?

Postby thetray » Wed Aug 02, 2006 11:27 am

Hi there,

I recently started a membership site and I am having trouble finding affiliates to promote it for me.

I have been contacting website/list owners that are in the same areas of business and have had little success. One out of about thirty people I contacted agreed to promote my website and so far that person has only sent me twenty three visitors.

I have a high commission (75%) and promotional tools so I thought that might be enticing to affiliates but it does not seem so.

Please could you guy's tell me some of your strategies for recruiting affiliates?

Thanks,
Niall

Hello Niall,

Are you offering a one-time commission or a recurring commission?

You are welcome to post the JV letter and the link that you gave in the email here on the forum if you would like us to review that and see if we could make any suggestions...

Hi Lynn,

I am only offering a one time commission as the membership is just a one time fee.

I am offering 75% commission as my intention is not to make money upfront but to build a list of buyers.

My affiliate sign up page and promotional tools are at www.ebook-universe.co.uk/affiliates.html if you would like to review it and suggest improvements.

If you have any suggestions for recruiting affiliates, it would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Niall

You can always try to find a place where a lot of affiliates are "hanging around". One place you might want to consider is "Wealthy Affiliate". You might be able to find affiliates who are willing to promote your product, and you can also learn more about how to promote your product online.
